SKIN-BLEACHING .... my view

Nigerian-Cameroonian pop star, Dencia, recently launched her own skin care line Whitenicious. Within days, it sold out. Yes, this is real life.

Aside from these types of products being horrible for your skin, I think it is a crying shame that some women feel a need to resort to use this type of crap. Women of every race, religion and creed should feel proud to be a woman and not give a rats ass about media, social hype and stereotypes.

Sisters in the diaspora should be able to look to Africa and the caribbean for inspiration not self-degradation...

Bleaching your skin wipes away your purity, natural beauty, and youthful exuberance!
Being pure means undiluted. Being natural means something exists as nature made it. Having a youthful exuberance means you have that glow that radiates from within as a result of being youthful. Regretfully and unfortunately, bleaching your skin obliterates all these characteristics. You are no longer a pure woman because you have diluted your skin tone by bleaching it.

Bleaching your skin sends a message that you have low self esteem.
Yes, it does. It tells me that you are not comfortable in your own skin and there felt compelled to bleach your skin in order feel better about yourself. It says you do not like how God made you.( that's my view)

I had this discussion not so long ago saying why mentoring is needed I personally believe our kids are looking up to these people and it frustrates me. there is just so much we can teach our children but what they learn outside is whats frighting. self hate is a disease ... and I personally think some woman and children need to hear some words to uplift their spirits daily.

You.Are.Amazing.
As. you. are.
Stronger than you know.
More beautiful than you think.
Worthier than you believe.
More loved than you can ever imagine.
Passionate about making a difference.
Fiery when protecting those you love.
Learning. Growing. Not alone.
Warm. Giving. Generous.
Quirky. Sexy. Funny. Smart.
Flawed. Whole. Scared. Brave.
And so, so, so.much.more.

You can not change an adults mind on the image they believe is beautiful because everyone has a story and was raised differently. this is spreading and its also down to the media the media is something we cannot control. so please dont let the young generation be lost in the lighter you are business.

Love the skin you in and start changing the perception the media tell us of beauty.

BEAUTY IS US .... BEAUTY IS YOU.... BEAUTY IS ME ...

Sometimes, you just need to be reminded. Mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, aunts – you are an amazing beautiful woman.
